The Fisher King Story

Have you heard the story of the Fisher King? The story begins with a boy king sleeping alone in the forest to prove his mettle.

While spending the night alone, the boy king sees a holy image. Out of the flames comes the holy grail; Symbol of God's divine mercy… He hears a voice: “Keep the bowl so that people can heal their hearts.” But the child sees in the bowl the guarantee of a life full of strength, success and beauty. In this brief state of bewilderment, he does not feel like a child, but rather invincible; Like God… He reaches into the fire to get the bowl, but the bowl disappears and his hand is horribly burned. As the boy king grows, his wound deepens. He loses his purpose in life. He has no faith in himself and others, he cannot love, he cannot feel loved...

This event makes him sick, he starts to die. One day, a jester comes to the castle and sees that the king is alone. The jester is a simple man, he does not understand that He is the king. She only sees a man alone and in pain. "What's upsetting you, my friend?" he asks. The king replies: “My throat is dry, I must drink water.” The jester takes a bowl from the bed, fills it with water and gives it to the king. The king begins to drink the water and sees that his wound has healed. When he looks at his hands, he sees the holy grail that he has been searching for all his life. He asks the jester: "How did you find what my brightest and bravest men could not find?" The jester answers: “I don't know. All I knew was that you were thirsty.”
