Stop the World

If you could suddenly stop the world, even for a moment; Better still, if you stopped commenting on everything right now and saw your own universe outside the lens of your usual belief, you'd find a world full of possibilities without the story you've made up about how it all happened.

The exercise of stopping the world has the ability to diffuse the reflection of daily life, even for a few minutes. It is like being in a conscious or meditative state, or even a little more. Meditation; It reduces stress, increases memory, is good for insomnia, high blood pressure, anxiety and depression.

Sit in a quiet place where no one will disturb you and where you feel safe. Please remove your shoes. Sit up straight. Do not cross your legs. Free your hands at your sides. Relax and make a pact with yourself: I won't move. The moment you move your body, you lose what you want.

The sound that dominates your attention most of the time will start a battle for your attention when you sit in silence. Your mind will want you to snap, scratch, or jot down anything you're likely to forget. Do not move to strengthen your desire.

Just breathe. Slow. Bring your attention to your breath. Inhale slowly through your nose as if you are inhaling air from every part of your body. Make the sound of the ocean or the wind as you exhale through your mouth. Your breathing is your desire, to which you give your attention by choice. Your exhale is letting go, releasing everything.

Expand your body as you inhale. As you exhale, expand your awareness. Pay attention to how you feel about your emotions and body. Resist the urge to describe the situation in words. Just be aware without trying to define or explain.

Start with fifteen minutes of exercise a day several times a week. Repeat your new habit. Don't blame yourself when your mind goes to the conversations inside your head. Try to focus again. Find the spaces between thoughts. Be kind to yourself. There is no such thing as doing the right thing.
