Ants and Fish

In the vast lands of Africa, there are temporary lakes that are formed by the spring rains and disappear in the summer heat. Here is a saying of the locals who witnessed the formation of these lakes: “When the waters rise, the fish eat the ants, when the waters receded, the ants fished…”In other words, if the superiority is in the ant today, it can go to the fish tomorrow, and vice versa. Rejoicing at the superiority of being an ant or a fish means nothing more than deceiving ourselves, because the movement of the water actually determines who will eat whom.
