Subject: The Massachusetts State Police launch a large-scale campaign to take down the city's largest crime syndicate. The goal is to end the rule of powerful mob boss Frank Costello (Jack Nicholson) with a mole they'll bring in. Young rookie Billy Costigan (Leonardo DiCaprio), who grew up in South Boston, is tasked with infiltrating Costello's gang. While Billy tries to win Costello's trust, another young cop, Colin Sullivan (Matt Damon), who hails from the streets of the "South Side", is climbing the ranks in the state police force. What his superiors do not know is that Colin works for Costello and ensures that the crime boss is always one step ahead of the police… The Mole, one of the best detective films of recent times, gives its audience a great cinematic pleasure with its editing and cast.
