When Does Motivation Work and When Doesn't?

İsmail Barış Özpazarcık, the author of the book “You are the hero yourself”, sheds light on the world of motivation with this first article he wrote for e-motivasyon.net.

There is a lion, a starting point, a source, a path that lies in the heart of every human being. Dear Tayfun chose to be a source of "motivation". Or he decided to open that source, that bed, to extract the great treasure that is present, to pour it into the heart of man. This road, the path of light… And what Tayfun does is a good companion. I congratulate my dear friend for his efforts and wish him success. Motivation as a way of self-discovery is indeed a wonderful development tool. When it is well understood and applied, it enables us to live life with a high level of consciousness. That's why it's nice to fill in the word "Motivation" and savor its essence! As in almost everything, we have to transcend the form and reach the essence.

Words, words are effective; but the tongue is not as deep as the heart. If the heart knows and feels what the tongue says, our essence meets our word. The energy arising from this meeting carries us to the better and forward.

Motivation is a path of light for our mind. Because it is loving, positive and encouraging. Either way, it creates a spark inside. It is an internal state of construction for the mind to work better, to think healthy, to feel good, to improve one's perspective.

Our mind has potentially 100 million light paths. We call these "neuron cells" in scientific language. Our negative feelings and thoughts block these light paths and prevent their flow. Opening paths of light is about developing good, meaningful perspectives. And we need approaches (personalized perspectives) that will motivate us to develop these perspectives.

You know that where there is desire, there is action. Motivation comes naturally. Because at this time, we have become one with our Essence in a state of flux, without effort. There is no false wall between us. We are in reality, not in illusion. This is what we call seeing and feeling with the "eye of the heart".

Well, what if we are not aware of what we want?.. Then we need awareness, discovery, motivation can come into play at this point...

If we say, “I don't want to do it, but I must…”, we need a new perspective for the state of having to. I wonder if I really should?

If we say “I have to…”, the question is: What happens if we don't?..

If we say, “It must be done somehow…”; hey, what perspective can we develop?

Sometimes our mind wants to play games with us. See the game, smile and play then… Playing is good, if we can make life meaningful… We all have a playground inside, to lighten and make life more beautiful. Our intelligent and respected subconscious mind, which can think of a hundred thousand things at once, is susceptible to being deceived. And I think this is God's favor to mankind. You change the frame, the meaning changes; then your life changes. Just decide what you want. So motivation is a lifeline at this point. Those who find a (intelligent) way of persuading ourselves are great motivators who are the captain of their life.

Well, what if our heart is sending signals saying "I don't want to do this", if we are in distress, heartache, body pain, can our mind convince us?
We need to develop awareness at this point in order to reach our heart and our essence by overcoming the trap of the mind.

We can deceive our mind, the mind can deceive us, which is an ego game we play inside.

But we cannot deceive our hearts! (Or so I think :)

The representative of our soul (our inner light), our heart; Our body is the representative of our heart. This is where physical intelligence comes from. And our heart and body both shout out what they do not want (what is not good for us). We hear its echo inside (our heart) and outside (our body). Woe to the deaf person… This is when motivation doesn't work at all. The next is known…
